Writing Celebration!

The fourth graders have been writing up a storm! The writers in 4B just published their personal narratives and celebrated by sharing their writing with each other.



They shared their writing in small groups and asked each questions such as: Where did you get the inspiration for your story? What was the most challenge part of the story for you to write? What's your favorite part?


Some writers shared their piece with the entire class.

Great job to the Grade 4 students on their Festival of Nations performance on Wishes for the Future, which they composed and choreographed as a part of the Expression of the Arts Unit!

Math!

The focus in math so far this school year has included topics in shape and space, number (place value), and measurement (angles).

Students have worked from 2 dimensions to 3 dimensions. Here, students use drawings of 2D faces to create a 3D object:




Students are also challenging themselves to create 2D nets of 3D objects:

Mathletics.com has also been a wonderful place for 4th Graders to practice their Mathematical skills and compete with other learners from around the world. Ms. Mollie's class made it into the Top 50 Classes in Asia. Watch out World, here we come!
